Featuring acclaimed countertenor Michael Maniaci as well as Collegium’s principal oboist Mark Ostoich in a special intimate performance, there’s no better way to spend an afternoon! As always, admission to the Weston Art Gallery is free, so you’ll also enjoy the current exhibit from photographer Chris Engman entitled Prospect and Refuge.

Countertenor Michael Maniaci: Performance highlights include appearances with the Metropolitan Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, New York City Opera, Teatro La Fenice (Venice), Teatro Liceu (Barcelona), Royal Danish Opera, L'Opera Montpellier, LA Philharmonic, Orchestra of St. Luke's at Carnegie Hall, Apollo's Fire, Tafelmusik, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, BAM's Next Wave Festival and the Beijing International Music Festival. Graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and The Juilliard School, Michael won the Houston Grand Opera Competition in 1999 and the Metropolitan National Council Auditions in 2003. He recorded Mozart Arias for Male Soprano with the Boston Baroque Orchestra (TELARC) and is on DVD in the Title Role of Meyerbeer's Il Crociato in Egitto with Teatro La Fenice and as Nireno in Giulio Cesare with the Royal Danish Opera, in addition to being featured on documentaries for BBC Channel 4 and the Discovery Channel.
